The moon now passes between the sun and the earth. This total solar eclipse is the final component for fulfilling the coven's curse.
Belial commands his sworn servants to offer up a sacrifice. So carving their victim, they place her on the altar, piece by piece and slice by slice.
From Hell, he rises.
To walk the left hand path.
Carried by cloven hoof.
The Beast shall rule on earth at last!
"So follow Serpent Saints
I have made way for thee.
The gates are open wide.
To revel in the mortals' misery."
Not a one is spared from the demons' infernal might. With the passing of time, total darkness enshrouds what remains of the holy light.
From the skulls and the bones of their prey, they construct their Master's throne. "Let it be known that I, and I alone, shall rule these lands that mankind once had roamed!"
The minions reply:
"Lord, it is rumored that The Nazarene is not yet dead."
"How can this be? Bring him to me. I wish to hold the blade that severs the Son of God's head!"
He is found hiding in a cellar, naked, with his ribs protruding forth like the crooked cross he shall soon hang upon!
Invert the cross and watch him bleed.

Swiss Melodic Black / Death Metal. I never wrote anything about this & given that I listen to it time & again, I really should! This is incredibly technical & amazingy good! I am having multiple eargasms & goosebumps for the entire duration of the album! Plus they have a new album coming out in a couple of months that I cannot wait for! A criminally underrated band... Stortregn rule! Highly recommended!!!

On ne pourra certainement pas reprocher à Subnuba de vouloir aller trop vite : si le groupe annonçait la sortie prochaine d'un album avec le single Ascending Light, Distant Pixel ne sortira que trois ans plus tard. Et à l'écoute de cette pépite, je dirai qu'on ne pourra pas reprocher grand-chose à Subnuba tout court. Le trio a travaillé d'arrache-pied et ça s'entend : le death metal technique est exceptionnel, aussi bourrin que fantastique avec ses arpèges électroniques de science-fiction !

An eclectic but incredibly well-integrated blend of traditional death metal, melodeath, black metal, progressive, and even a bit of folk (with the added bonus of audible and tasty bass guitar). The album has a consistent, pulverizing momentum punctuated by the rare acoustic passage or catchy chorus/refrain. Overall an unbelievably mature first offering from an up-and-coming band to watch.
